Since the Jerry Sandusky scandal, Penn State University has suffered. But things are changing, for the better. While attending my daughter’s boyfriend’s graduation a few weeks ago I realized that PSU has much going for it, despite all the negative publicity. Of course Sandusky deserves to be where he is–in jail for a long time. Much good is going on here at the school’s main campus as well as its satellite compuses.
The market for renewable energy technologies has continued to grow. Climate change concerns, coupled with high oil prices, peak oil, and increasing government support, are driving increasing renewable energy legislation, incentives and commercialization.New government spending, regulation and policies helped the industry weather the 2009 economic crisis better than many other sectors.
There a variety of views on the current government U-turn on the decision to give energy companies subsidies to build new power stations.
This has been greeted by popular approval from energy companies, however the general public are voicing concern over this decision.
